The most favorite time for the Angels to play is the Fourth of July. It seems like the clouds turn into tiny, splattered spots throughout the sky, just like they were setting off their own kind of fireworks. As we get closer to the actual night of amazing firework displays, the angels will sit upon the clouds like bleachers and get ready for the show. As the sun slowly goes down and the fireworks start going off throughout the city, the clouds start moving into areas off to the side and seem to stay stationary as the angels hide behind them and peek at the beautiful colors and sparkles of the fireworks shows. Their excitement and beaming make it seem like the night takes a bit longer to get dark, almost like they can suspend the show a little bit longer. Soon the clouds are gone, hidden in the deep dark night sky and all the spectacular fireworks will fill the black void. The angels lay beyond the glow of the fireworks show and mime their “oohs” and “ahhs” during the sounds of the fireworks exploding and fizzling in the air. And when the final fireworks fizzle out, they slowly make their way back to the highest clouds with anticipation that one more dazzling firework will explode in beautiful sparkling colors they can only see from us on the Fourth of July.
